The Atlassian Community has added adoption guides to its Learning platform, offering curated resources from the Atlassian ecosystem. These guides are designed to help you plan your strategy, begin using the tools, and promote Atlassian products within your team. You can find them under the “Adoption” menu.
As we kick off new cloud upgrades, we are seeing customers and our own teams struggle with adoption because our approach often leans heavily on the technical side. A great consultant or Atlassian Champion doesn’t need to figure everything out from scratch or rely completely on AI to guess the right approach. By shifting our focus from purely technical setups to easing friction and boosting user confidence, we can bridge this gap and deliver far more value.

The Atlassian app adoption guides included in the beginning three different ones:
Rovo Adoption Guide: This guide aims to assist IT leaders, admins, and champions in empowering their teams to “work smarter” and enhance Rovo-powered productivity. It follows a three-step process (plan your strategy, launch Rovo, champion Rovo) and offers resources to explore Rovo’s features, identify use cases, and motivate your teams to maximize their experience with their “new favorite coworker.”
Jira Adoption Guide: This guide provides all the essentials to help your team organize their work efficiently with Jira. It outlines a three-step process: plan, get started, and champion, along with resources for change management, ready-to-use templates, free learning materials, and details on how Rovo can improve Jira’s effectiveness.
Jira Data Center to Cloud Adoption Guide: This migration guide aims to assist teams in smoothly transitioning from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud. It provides resources to connect with your Jira admin, highlights major differences between Data Center and Cloud, and offers “Plays” to foster a culture of openness and support the migration process. Additionally, Atlassian Ascend includes a Cloud Adoption Guide that helps organizations implement Atlassian Cloud on a large scale.
As of June 2026, I am adding three new app adoption guides recently released by Atlassian.
Confluence Adoption Guide: Designed for daily champions, teams, and regular users, this guide presents a framework for building a sustainable knowledge base. It handles the challenge of maintaining relevant content by focusing on effective space organization and strong maintenance routines. The guide also introduces a modern approach by using Confluence Automations and AI Agents to automate routine content management, evolving the traditional manual “wiki gardener” role.
Confluence Cloud Migration Adoption Guide: Created for team champions, this guide supports teams transitioning to the cloud. Starting with composing the upgrade message and preparing the team, it gives a practical day-one checklist covering the Cloud Editor and new navigation. The guide helps champions build trust by demonstrating features such as Confluence databases, whiteboards, smart links, and AI-powered translation and rewriting tools. It also spotlights the improved unified search, which connects information across previously separate environments.
Loom Adoption Guide: Asynchronous video is changing collaboration, and this guide is designed for IT leaders, admins, Loom adopters, and team champions. Successful rollout requires both strategic planning and team engagement. The guide recommends leading by example: begin by recording a Loom video to introduce the adoption, share your vision, and demonstrate the value of asynchronous communication.
Driving successful tool adoption requires IT leaders, admins, and champions to establish a comprehensive, organization-wide change management strategy before the rollout. Once that strategic foundation is set, team champions can actively guide and support individual users through the transition to ensure lasting success with their new cloud apps. Atlassian is offering two additional resources and best practices to plan for the change:
- Drive Atlassian Cloud adoption guide by building a rollout plan, growing a champion community, and delivering effective communications.
- Support change on your team guide to help your team by planning a strategy, offering support, and helping everyone truly integrate.
